CRYSTAL HANNA

An award-winning potter and Cherokee Nation Citizen. Crystal specializes in traditional Cherokee pottery and has taught workshops all over the United States. Most recently she conducted a youth workshop at the Thomas Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa.
Ms. Hanna has been making traditional Cherokee pottery for over 10 years and was an appetence of nationally renown Anna Mitchell, the Grandmother of Cherokee Pottery.
Crystal inspires and motivates students to create their own designs by teaching them how to make pottery using traditional Cherokee techniques. Everything from gathering native clays , making slips, using paddles and hand coiling.
